This beautifully simple, low post bed could be found in most farmhouses across the country. Although called a hired man’s bed this style was also used for a child’s bed and in the birthing room. A simple bed to construct, it required no lathe, only saws and planes. Even the wood bed bolt covers could be made on the farm. Shown in maple, twin size with worn blue paint.
Available in any size in maple with stained or painted finish and in tiger maple, cherry, or mahogany in a natural or stained finish.
