Description
This 18th century low post rope bed was originally commissioned by Old Sturbridge Village for a hands on display and is a replica of one in their collection. The bed uses no hardware. The head and foot being mortise and tenon joints with draw bore pins and the side rails held in place with the rope spring. The low headboard and use of several species of wood was common.
This bed is available in a variety of wood and sizes with standard bed bolt construction. Available in a variety of paints and stains.
