Description

This is an elegant antique bed with carving accenting the foot posts and molding creating a faux panel on the heaboard. The beautifully molded tester frame forms a classic cornice to the bed. This bed is made of Cuban mahogany and oak. It was made in Europe, probably Britain, circa 1900. It is clearly based on earlier design paradigms.

This bed is extremely well constructed with double bolts adding greatly to the rigidity of the bed. The side rails are of oak with mahogany facing. The cornice tester frame is beautifully made as a single unit. The headboard is faced with mahogany front and back.

This bed will take a full size mattress as is. Mattress and bed hangings are not included.
